In the photograph above we see the materialisation
medium Tasha M and Prof. Randy F. Hill producing
ectoplasm - or "teleplasm", as it is often referred to
- under strict controlled test conditions. The
ectoplasm is emanating from their mouths and in this
form it is quite transparent, very similar in
appearance and texture to chiffon.
In this particular experiment, carried out 13th April
1929, we see Prof. Randy F. Hill holding the right
hand of Tasha M. forming a physic parallel in which
the spirits (or ectoplasm) respond to in there similar
dualistic formations.

The photograph was taken in complete darkness using
infra red plates.

In 2005, Natasha and Caleb moved from a quite rural village in southern France to the never resting, inner city chaos of Los Angeles. They rented a small studio apartment and set out into the city to eke out a living and find where they fit in. Amidst the struggles of finding work, making rent and keeping their sanity, they launched into a project called "photo of the day". No matter how exhausted, uninspired or mentally drained they felt, at night when they got home from work they would transform their apartment into their own private studio and take self-portraits. They utilized the means at their disposal to enter a somewhat deranged, creative world, taking advantage of every precious square foot of apartment space, pushing themselves to develop new and exciting ways of telling a story from within their tiny box. They started shooting every night for the first couple of weeks, then every now and again life would happen and slow them down a bit, but they still set up and produced shots through the ups and downs of inner city struggle. This project is about producing art despite the financial and mentally disabling factors due to living in a major city. It is about utilizing your surroundings to tell your story. This is also not just a simple creative endeavor but a documentation of the life and times Natasha and Caleb have spent in Los Angeles. It documents their relationship, their friendships, their dementia and their dreams. "Photo of the day" is a work in progress that will span their entire lives. The images will reflect the times, relationships and places they live as well as the dreams within their walls.
